We are never far from the water in this book. Rivers, bays, inlets, beaches, even water tanks are scattered generously throughout. Wynne offers up his fascination with the watery landscape and delivers some beautiful imagery ... he then delivers his vision - sensuous, liquid and consistent.

Wynne deals engagingly with family-related issues such as the complex emotional strain placed on families with the approach of death.

One poem which is outstanding is Arriving. Language is fresh, detailed, refined and there is real energy to be felt in this piece which explores the boundaries, patterns and mapping spaces of new territories in the landscape.
